Build Your Own New York Postcard Series

Build Your Own New York Postcard Series

If someone would have said to me, “I’m going to come up with some kind of cool way to make a postcard that you can turn into 3-D buildings of New York City” I would have said, “Yeah, sure you are.”

Obviously, I would not get very far in the clever postcard designing business.

Check out the very cool Build Your Own New York web site and see what kind of nifty postcards they have. If you look around you will probably find some other interesting cities as well. You could be in for lots and lots of fun!

It’s time for a new selection of stuff from Etsy! Today I’m showcasing cool and weird letter writing stuff. Go check out some of these shops and support artists who make unique letter writing products. Tell them to keep on keepin’ on!

I’m bitter and angry that I’m not living in Vancouver right now. Just for a week, maybe a month or so. Why oh why?

And you’re probably asking, “Why oh why does Wendy want to live in Vancouver all of a sudden?”

It’s because of Assembly of Text and their store. Not only do they have really great stationery and STUFF, but they also have a button-making station at their store and a monthly letter writing club.

I think it should be mandatory that all cities have a cool shop like this. If you’ve ever been to this store or one like it, leave us all a note and tell us about your grand adventures!

Finally, the recognition you deserve! After all the time you’ve spent writing letters, surely by now you are qualified to wear these very cool Correspondence Merit Badges. The link will take you to a page that has merit badges for a variety of interesting things. You’ll have to scroll down a little to find the ones for correspondence.

Wear ‘em with pride!

(Thanks, PostMuse, for telling me about this!)

For my birthday I treated myself to a free download from 16 Sparrows. I am such a cheap date!

Kathy and Donovan are very clever and talented stationers who create high quality handmade goods that are great for letter writing and other forms of correspondence. Well worth the look while you’re there gobbling up the free goodies. Please look around a while.

Okay, now about this free stuff… there are printable downloads of notecards, mailing labels, and my personal favorite is the printable envelope template. (Cause you know I’m an envie junkie!) There are also a few other little tidbits there that are fun, but not necessarily related to letter writing.

Have fun!

I ran across the tasty morsel above (called Chocolate Covered Correspondence) which lead me to the awesome shop of Freshly Skweezed Stationery.

Over there you’ll find personalized stationery and some letterpress stuff. It looks like good prices for the quality of the goods you’ll get. Very classy and fun stuff. These would also make great unique gifts for a letter writing pal.

Go check out: Freshly Skweezed

I love handmade stuff, so I love to support artists and craftsman trying to make a living creating beautiful things.

Thus, here is list of 5 sweet gifts under $10 for people who love letters and letter writing. It’s a cheap and easy way to give gifts on a budget!
