Donovan over at the Letter Writers Alliance wrote a great post about the language of stamps. Go check it out!

Did you also know there was a language of flowers?

If anyone ever tells you that you spend too much time online reading blogs, please point out to them how much useful information you get and how much smarter you’re becoming. (And then when their backs are turned, tape a “kick me” sign on them. Man, that’ll show them, won’t it??)

Oh man.. you have got to see Literary Calligraphy… http://www.literarycalligraphy.com/ There are some lovely notecards, but, more than that, some fantastic art containing the language of flowers.

The language of stamps! I had no idea. And your timing couldn’t be better, Wendy, because in 2009 I am sending two handwritten letters a month to people I care about. How lovely to know that stamps can communicate on the functional outside of the envelope!
