I ran across a great post written by someone from India. He describes what letter writing means to him, but the most interesting thing was describing waiting for the postman in India. It’s an interesting view of letter writing in another culture.

Favorite lines… “We have so long ago catapulted from stationery to Blackberry” and ” my mind leaped into a beautiful Bermuda Triangle of memory”. In India it really does seem like they have skipped the telephone, which we used in the States instead of letters, and went right to the leading edge of technology. And describing memory as a Bermuda Triangle… a very benevolent Bermuda Triangle that swallows the bad memories forever and only lets the good ones escape.. I like that idea.
